Medical Aid In Pakistan

The high cost of medical treatment in Pakistan often means that working families have to make the choice between food and medical care.  The fear of causing financial pressure and shame on their families makes many of the elderly avoid discussing the issues they are facing.  Instead they are forced to continue to suffer in silence for the rest of their lives.

For the elderly who live without family support, a pension or any type of income there is no choice. They simply do not even try to seek the treatment that they so desperately need to survive.   Alone, vulnerable and sick; they live without hope and dignity.

Zohra Foundation has been providing free medical aid in Pakistan to the elderly for over 5 years.  Our medical packs, volunteer nurses and doctors travel across Pakistan to provide lifesaving medical treatment to thousands of men and women.

It is our responsibility to care for our elders and we must not neglect those in need.

We are alone.  Without your donations and the support of Zohra Foundation we would not be alive today.

FREE medical camps for the poor and elderly

Across Pakistan there are thousands of old people who have no ability to get the support necessary to live with age related illnesses like osteoporosis, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis and depression.   Many of these can become debilitating without treatment and ruin the lives of the elderly and their families.  But they can be more manageable or are even treatable with the right medication and support.

Zohra Foundation runs free medical camps in villages across Pakistan.  Out outreach teams, who are made up of volunteer nurses and doctors, offer free health screenings, free medication and free follow-up visits to help detect and manage common diseases that affect the elderly.

For many of our patients these free medical camps are their only access to any medical care.  It is the only time they will be able to get the treatment, support and medication they need to live a life of dignity and happiness.

Your Sadaqah and Zakat will mean that we are able to:

  • Provide free medical treatment and procedures to the elderly
  • Run centres in rural communities across Pakistan
  • Offer free health screenings and follow up home visits to patients
  • Support the families of patients with ongoing counselling and medical advice

Your support will mean that we can continue to provide free, life-saving treatment to thousands of elderly, vulnerable women and men in Pakistan.
